Life is busy which means that whilst we don’t go out of our way to be cruel, we don’t always go out of our way to be kind either. However, in a world that is full of stress and sadness here are some easy ways to be kind to others:

Offer a Compliment
Giving someone a compliment can make their day, so why not go out of your way to do it? We often pass strangers in the street and think to ourselves that we like their outfits or that their hair looks amazing, but we keep our thoughts to ourselves. It can be a massive boost to someone’s day to hear a compliment like this – so next time you’re thinking like that, why not tell them?
Give Practical Help
If we have someone who know that is having a tough time, then your act of kindness could be something practical – offering to take the kids for an afternoon or cooking them some dinners that they can throw in the freezer for a later date. It doesn’t have to be anything massively flashy, even the smallest of practical gestures can make all the difference.
Pay it Forward
Paying it forward can be a really fun way to start off a series of random acts of kindness. For example, you could pay for the persons behind you Mcdonalds or put some on-hold coffees on the board at your local coffee shop. You don’t always get to see the result of these acts of kindness, but you do get the feeling of knowing you improved someone’s day.
Small Gestures
It doesn’t have to be grand gestures – small notes left for someone to fit, a box of chocolates for your next-door neighbour – they all make a difference and give people a reason to small, which is a great reason to do what you can to be kind to others.
