Let’s face it, if you’re living a life without stress then you’re doing well. However, sometimes that stress can feel constant and overwhelming and that’s not a nice feeling for anyone to deal with. Of course, there are no miracle one-size-fits-all answers to stress but here are some ways to deal with stress that might just help.
Tackle Your Problems
If there are actual problems that are causing you to feel the way you are then doing what you can to tackle these definitely helps. Of course, it might not be an overnight fix but just starting to tackle the problem can help to ease the burden. More often than not, the thought of what might happen & what we have coming up is worse than the outcome when we actually find the strength to deal with it.
Find Ways to Be Distracted
Finding a way to be distracted not only helps long term but can help to give your mind a rest for a little while; which is really important. Whilst everyone has different things that they enjoy what most people don’t realise is that something as simple as chewing sugar-free gum can really help. There was a 2020 study by the Centre for Occupational and Health Psychology at Cardiff University which found that ‘chewing a minimum of two pieces of gum for 20 minutes a day can have a beneficial impact on the user`s reported levels of stress, even under a heavy workload’. Information released by the Oral Health Foundation backs this up too!

Be Easy on Yourself
It is important to remember that you simply can’t do it all – when things get overwhelming it is easy to get frustrated at ourselves for being not enough, or not being able to do everything that we need. However, remind yourself that you’re doing your best and there is simply nothing more you can do.
Ask For Help
If things are getting too much and you feel as though you can’t deal with it all yourself, then asking for help is recommended. This could be reaching out to friends and family for their support and it could be seeking professional help. There are no right or wrongs in terms of the direction your journey takes, but just know that help is out there and you’re worthy of experiencing it.
If you have any ways to deal with stress that have worked for you then we’d love you to share them
