5 Ways to Be Christmas Party Ready

We’re in December and so, the holidays are officially coming! There is lots to look forward to at this time of year, but socialising and Christmas parties are definitely top of the list. Most of us missed out on really celebrating Christmas last year and so, understandably, want to make up for it this year! Here are some easy ways to be Christmas party ready.

Pick Your Outfit

Rather than have any less minute stress about what you are going to wear, get organised and sort out your outfit(s) now. The great thing about shopping early is that you get to really take your time and shop around for what you might want to buy, rather than feeling stressed and just picking the first outfit that you come across. Don’t forget to shop savvy and look around for discount codes and ways to save money – especially if you’re shopping for new outfits for a couple of events. Remember though, you don’t need a whole new outfit – it is perfectly acceptable to shop your own wardrobe for something to wear and even just buy some new accessories if you feel that wearing something new is important. Being Christmas party ready need not be difficult.

Get Organised Before The Event

Before your party, get as organised as possible so that getting ready on the day is as stress-free as possible. For example, layout your outfit, shoes and pack your bag with whatever you might need to take with you on the night. If you’re planning to travel to your party by taxi then getting this booked in the day before if you can is recommended too – after all, we’re approaching a really busy time of year and you don’t want to be delayed because there are no taxis available to take you.

Think About Comfort

Christmas parties generally go on for a few hours so you don’t want to be uncomfortable. It is all well and good choosing the most glitzy dress you can find but if it pinches and pokes then you’ll just spend the whole night feeling horrible. Get an outfit that feels nice, choose sensible shoes and even go for soothing inner soles so that you can feel confident that your feet are going to feel comfortable all evening.

Pamper Yourself

If you ever needed an excuse to pamper yourself then Christmas is most definitely it. However, why not go big and bold? We can all have a bath before a party, whack on a facemask and light some nice candles; but what about more? A trip to the hairdressers and a spray tan can help you feel a million dollars in time for your big event. Laser hair removal is also a popular way to prepare for a big event, although you’ll need to get organised and have this done in advance so you have time to deal. Somewhere like NYLC who offer laser hair removal in London are a great choice – they were recently featured in the Daily Mail, so you can feel confident that your laser hair removal needs are in safe hands.

The Morning After

Whether you’re a drinker or not, you’re likely to not feel your best after a heavy night – so get organised now and have some nice things in the house to make the morning after that bit more bearable. If you are a drinker then some things to help with a hangover are definitely recommended. If you have the energy then a full cooked breakfast often hits the spot and helps to get you feeling back up to 100%. Plenty of fruit juice and a choice of cheesy films on the TV are also a great idea – indulge yourself a little, you’re worth it!

Remember, any party is about having a good time and enjoying yourself. Let your hair down, don’t worry too much about anything else and get yourself into the Christmas spirit – you’ll have a great time and it’s the perfect way to celebrate the holidays with friends and family.
