Whilst it isn’t always possible to take our pets with us everywhere we go, we’re starting to see a trend for more dog-friendly options and therefore it is becoming more popular with new motorhome owners to seek out dog-friendly campsites in Wales.
Dog-Friendly Campsites in Wales – Why Take Your Dog On Holiday to wales With You?
Whilst it might not be at all practical to take your dog with you if you’re heading for a beach break in Spain or a shopping holiday to New York, if you’re staying within the UK then it is more possible than you might imagine. In fact, many families now choose locations such as Wales so that all of the members of the family can travel with them, including pooches!
If you have seen my social media page then you’ll know that we have a 7-month-old puppy – Lola, and realistically I love her more than I could have ever imagined. We take her everywhere with us – she’s been on trains, buses and even a boat! She’s stayed in 2 hotels so far and even been to London for a day out; she loves the adventure. One day I would love to shop for our own caravan or motorhome so that we can do some more staycation type breaks and of course, bring her with us!

Although we’re not quite in a position to buy a new motorhome yet, I have been window shopping via the motorhome virtual showroom that Bailey of Bristol offers. I love these 360 tours as they give you a good idea of motorhome layouts and what you can expect from each type of motorhome that they offer. Their website also has a really great news and events section, which is great for keeping up to date with what is going on within the world of caravans and motorhomes.
Dog-Friendly Campsites in Wales – Where To Go – Dog-Friendly Campsite Options?
I have a few places that I would love to go to if I had a motorhome and could do some travelling this way. As you know I live near the south coast and have lived on the north west coast so I would love to see more of places I haven’t been to before. I would absolutely love to explore what dog-friendly campsites there are in places such as Wales and Scotland; simply because I know there is some amazing scenery to be seen there and plenty of exploring to do.
The benefit of dog-friendly accommodation is that Lola can come with us and enjoy the holiday too, which as a very proud dog-mum has become something that I deem pretty essential now!
