When you consider ways to make your engagement special, you might consider things like a flash mob or a Christmas Day proposal – both are lovely ideas but they are things that you need to be sure your potential fiance is going to love before you take the plunge and pop the question. Go Somewhere Special
Proposing somewhere special is always going to go down well – so think about where you could pop the question that means something to you both. Where did you go on your first date or is there a weekend away she has always wanted to go on? It doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, just somewhere that holds memories or fond thoughts for you both, so it can become a place where you create another memory for you both to love.
Choose a Unique Ring
When you start to shop for an engagement ring you’ll find thousands of choices all made with different metals, jewels and styles – but even with such choice it can be hard to find something that is perfect. Instead, you could consider looking at bespoke engagement rings; where you can be sure that what is created is exactly right for you and your loved one. You could even go the extra mile and have a ring made from a gemstone they find special, perhaps a diamond they already own in another piece of jewellery if they hold a special place in their heart for example. The great thing about choosing bespoke jewellery is that there are no rules – anything goes!
Record The Whole Thing
Smartphones are a wonderful thing so make use of yours. Once you know you are going to propose, try and get your phone set up somewhere to record the whole thing. It seems like such a small gesture but getting engaged isn’t something you’ll be able to do again and again, so having a video of it is a really lovely thing to be able to look back upon for you both.
