We probably all have fond childhood memories, core memories that we’ll never forget because they made such an impact on our lives and how we grew up. If you think about these memories they rarely are about receiving a large gift or something that involved lots of money – instead, it’s about things that you did with others, adventures you had. Here’s a look at why playing outside is good for the imagination.
Creating Memories
Although there are plenty of memories that can be created at home, there is something to be said for open space and fresh air getting children’s minds working. You have probably had it yourself where you’re stuck on something or feeling fed up so just want a change of scenery and children are no different.
We all have camera phones now so capturing special moments is easy, but really the things we’ll all look back on fondly are the memories that we create together. This doesn’t have to be anything extravagant, a visit to a local park or a picnic in the garden can make for wonderful memory building times. We all live such busy lives and sometimes it is something as time and attention that our children crave, so take them outside, play with them and create memories that you can all enjoy together. They are small for such a short amount of time, so making the most of these times is really important – they’re gone in the blink of an eye.

Using Your Imagination
Give them the space to be imaginative and they’ll blow your mind away with what they can achieve and where their mind goes.
Go out with them and before you know it, you’ll be fighting pirates in the garden or swimming in the sea while walking the streets. Children are so imaginative and inventive and it is really wonderful watching them come alive with their thoughts.
Carving out the perfect outdoor space for your children to play in might seem like hard work, but actually, if you head to places like Wickey you’ll see that they have a whole host of play equipment to suit all sorts of budgets and gardens. Made from durable and solid wood, they’re play items that are designed to last. Buy a swing set to use to keep away predators or a playhouse for them to play happy families in – the choices are pretty much endless.
