When you live in rented accommodation it can sometimes feel like the options you have when it comes to redecorating and making it feel like home are limited. However, with some clever styling, it is perfectly possible to make your rented house feel like home. Of course, the things that you can do are limited and you should check with your landlord before doing things like painting walls; but that doesn’t mean you can’t crack on and make it feel like yours.

The great thing about accessories is that they are temporary, so you can take them with you when you moved out and therefore your landlord won’t mind. This is great news because it means that whatever your personal style preference is, you can be sure that there will be art available that you’re proud to display in your home. Whether you want landscape scenes, family photos or even fun photos for your kid’s bedroom you can be confident that there is wall art out there to suit you and your needs. Get it hung with command strips and your landlord will never even know it is there once you have gone – perfect!
Make It Cosy
For us personally, no home is complete if it doesn’t feel cosy. Get some blankets on the sofa, loads of cushions on the beds and the fluffiest rugs you can find. Make sure you have comfy slippers and a bathroom always stocked up on bubblebath and you’re pretty much there when it comes to feeling at home in a rented house.
