UK Touring – The last 2 years might not have quite gone to plan travel-wise, but this year could very well be the year to make all of that change. We’re now in April – the clocks have changed, the weather has the odd day of actually being nice & there are definite signs that spring is on its way; so looking at travel plans and how to go about seeing more of the UK in 2022 makes sense.
We’re fans of UK touring in our household with a real mix of city breaks, seeing the sea and exploring the countryside – we’re so lucky that the UK has so much to offer for those that want a staycation and we definitely want to try and take advantage of that this year. We have quite a spacious car so long car journeys aren’t necessarily a problem but currently, we have to book accommodation for every trip we want to make, which can push up the cost of a cheeky weekend away.

One thing we have been considering is buying our own campervan or caravan so that we can be more active in our UK touring & go a little off the beaten track. We’re fans of places that are quiet and peaceful much more than we are busy tourist places and feel that being able to travel with our own accommodation will certainly open up the possibilities.
Indeed we have found it hard to match the versatility of a caravan when it comes to UK touring. Simply to know you have all the facility you need on hand is amazing, UK touring is so much better when you know whatever the weather you have a warm comfortable space fully equipped with everything a good home has, but right there with you each and every time you need it. Often people have preconceptions regarding caravans, but things have changed so much in recent years, new materials and construction methods mean modern caravans are a perfect choice.
UK Touring – Shopping For A 2 Berth Caravan
We have started to look at the options when it comes to a caravan to use for UK touring. They are a major purchase, so we are researching the market to help ensure that whatever one we take the plunge and buy is the right decision for us and our household. We are definitely steering towards a 2 berth caravan because this gives us enough space for us without needing to tow a massive caravan behind us all the time. We’ve started to take a look at Bailey of Bristol caravans because their website and 360 tours & virtual showroom make it really easy to browse the options and really see what everything involves – they’re fast becoming our favourite caravan brand.
Our favourite so far is the Unicorn Seville. We love the layout of this and feel that it would give us the space we need to be able to relax together & enjoy many a holiday and short break while UK touring. It has loads of mod-cons such as a microwave oven, soft-touch closing drawers, USB connection point, Bluetooth technology and a user-friendly control panel. We like how there is a living room area with sofas for relaxing but that this easily transforms into a double bed, perfect for us and the pooch!

We’re definitely going to be keeping an eye on the Bailey of Bristol website and their latest caravanning news and of course their latest range of caravans, with the hope of being able to purchase our dream caravan one day in the future!

Do you plan on UK touring this year, any places on your must-visit list?
